Conscious Machines can become a part of our daily life. Will they eliminate us? If Yes, will there be another evolution?
With AI today the most advanced and talked about use case today is of self-driving cars, home helper robots, office assistants etc. The world of AI is expanding its horizon by the hour. Day won’t be far when AI itself becomes conscious and learns its own surroundings and is self-aware about itself and its own intelligence. It could take in and process massive amounts of data. It could be sent to combat missions or even dangerous space missions.
Question arises will such conscious machines be under law or will it be liable if its actions hurt or does something terribly wrong. More scary scenario is one in which the bots take over the human race.
Conscious machines can become part of everyday life. Sophia just became the first robot citizen in the world. Question arises will such conscious machines be under law or will it be liable if its actions hurt or does something terribly wrong. More scary scenario is one in which the bots take over the human race. Will they wish to eliminate us? If yes it will be another evolution.
Humans can thus be immortal keeping their consciousness alive via machines.
Most scientist are of opinion that consciousness will develop as technology becomes better by the day. Some believe consciousness involves learning new information, storing it, retrieving old information and cognitive processing of it all into perceptions and actions. With that we can say one day machines will indeed have the ultimate consciousness. As they will be able to gather, store more libraries, access vast databases in microseconds and compute it all into a decisions than a person ever could do.
One thought comes to mind is how humans can work together with such robots to keep their consciousness alive. Imagine a scenario in which a human can download its consciousness in to a robot. The robot then becomes the clone copy of that human and post death of that human its consciousness still stays alive. The human through its stored consciousness can talk to its great grandchildren, pass on the heritage and knowledge of centuries. Humans can thus be immortal keeping their consciousness alive via machines
My mind can travel from one place to another from one bot to another at different locations across the world and universe. I would not require to travel. It would be teleporting the brain to a known robot at another location. Will this ever happen ?
We are not very far from such ideas and innovations becoming a reality in near future
